Booking for boat cruise from Aranya Nivas
If the queue at Thekkady boat launch point is very big, head to
KTDC Aranya Nivas (star hotel run by KTDC).
They issue confirmed tickets for Rs.500 per person
One and half hour boat ride operated by KTDC and Forest Department is the chief attraction at Periyar Tiger Reserve, Thekkady. There are many other equally interesting activities
Nature walk at Thekkady
While boating around Periyar tiger reserve is a must-do activity, go for three hour nature walk for animal sighting.
Nature walking tour starts at
7am, 7.30am, 10am, 10.30am, 2pm and 2.30pm.
Book tickets for nature walk at Information Centre by paying Rs. 200/- per person. A well informed local will accompany you as the guide for the trek. Maximum of 6 persons can go for trekking at a time. The walks covers thickly forested Anavachal and Anchuruli area. Highly recommended activity at Thekkady.
